S/L

Usually music performances are not part of my S/L SERIES but I make sometimes exceptions: so far with Patti Smith and Gil Scott Heron (The revolution will not e televised) - both I consider word-artists and have had quite some influence on me - hence I include them into my S/L serie: - the artists used quite some stage time for simple talking -

from Wikipedia: Gil Scott-Heron (born April 1, 1949) is an American poet, musician, and author known primarily for his late 1970s and early 1980s work as a spoken word performer and his collaborative soul works with musician Brian Jackson. ... Scott-Heron's recording work is often associated with black militant activism and has received much critical acclaim for one of his most well-known compositions "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". On his influence, Allmusic wrote "Scott-Heron's unique proto-rap style influenced a generation of hip-hop artists".
