In this video, nearly two dozen Hermes scarves are floating one after the other from a high tree and are all placed next to the artist’s new born baby girl describing the letter “I”. The sound is either given or slowed down with the images.
This might remind us of uncanny things in the past. The uncanny is not only an allusion to the tragic end of a foulard loving dancer with the same name
but also to the imperialist realities underlying the iconographic world of Hermes foulards.
