I wanna be Alfred Jarry
For years I have been obsessing wiht Alfred Jarry - a proto-dadaist who anticipated the finest things 20 century art with Duchamps, dada, futurism and others have to offer. Due to his unsustainable life style - and in spite of being a heavy biker - he died in his early thirties of drugs (PERPETUAL MOTION FOOD), absinth, and madness. Hence, he left many of his literary / artistic projects unfinsihed. This is where I try to take up traces and crumbs to continue a nearly forgotten legacy.
Unfortunately, Alfred Jarry is barely known for his most important literary invention: the Perptual Motion Food - which propagaded dopping for bicycling and anticipated Viagra by 80 years. He also wrote the wonderful enlightening text entitled The Passion of Christ as a un Uphill bicycle race.
