The drawing goes out in a few minutes. It is a reasonably accurate rendition of the Inland Basins of China, including most of Tibet (but not Lhasa) South China Sea Basin, but not the Mekong River (a tiny strip which drains into "South" Vietnam) (China gets the Red River in what was "North" Vietnam) East China and Yellow Sea Basin, but not "South" Korea; Korea Bay and Bo Hai, with Yellow River and most of "North" Korea Amur River Basin, including coast on Sea of Japan. The shapes can be negotiated politically. However, they are reliable ecologically. Most important, they make most of Tibet part of the main "star."

One could contest the placing ofthe Mekong River outside this flag, but I don't think that China can claim that whole river nor can be engaged ecologically in its very-substantial impact on the southern part of the South China Sea.

In any case, as with the US flag, the forms can be adjusted. They remain in essence sound: China has a position on the South China Sea,East China Sea, Bo Hai and Korea Bay, and Amur River, which impacts the Sea of Japan. The last could be negotiated with Russia, possible in harmony given the much-touted cooperation of Russia and China.

This flag is an eco-flag for China. It is not a substitute for the current,official flag, but is an ecological version of the flag.

Similarly, countries have naval and army and royal versions of their flags. This is an ecological version of China.
