FRIEDRICH ENGELS, THE CONDITION OF THE WORKING CLASS IN ENGLAND - 1844 / 1952 - Book destruction, 2011 consist of a book destruction through kicking a German 1952 (Stalinist period) volume of Engels through Manchester until it is disintigrated into many parts. the book was destroyed in front of Islington Mil, built in 1828 for the industrial revolution in Manchester, Salfort. This is subject of Engels' book where he describes the most abject and most miserable working conditions imaginable. This destruction is to remember a problemtic part of history in a poetic, 'feet on' way. It is part of a series of book desctructions I started around 10 years ago.
