This spin manifesto 4 2 voices on SUSTAINABILTY is composed in a way we sometimes see people who have no clue about something complex speak about something complex.
It also imitate a corporate talk run thought a disparate auto-correct program
SUSTAINABILTY is such a beautiful ideological (must believe if not we ex-communicate you idea-driven) SPIN that it can absorb all paradoxes and contradictions of the world. All industries, corporations, designers, media organizations and intellectuals have fallen in love with it. It s the new good-consiciouslness fix for dirty industries, dirty commerce, dirty transportation, dirty desires and dirty everything else. SUSTAINABILITIY has fabulous PR agents and stands now for the new chic, the new glamour. the new cool and is already available for the elites who drive TESLA eat organic and local, and fancy hand made local design that is supposed to last forever and is soon exported around the world.
\SUSTAINABILITY as the brandmark (on leather or leather look alike, organic or organic look alike materials please) for our new lubberly. SUSTAINABILITY will soon sold with a world wide recognizable label issued by a yet to be established US/European NGO like we have seen it now with organic food, labeled in Europe also as bio or bio-dynamic. And speaking of organic bio-dynamic food of which organic production in large quantities is not sustainable, SUSTAINABILITY is here to stay and here to double the world like we divided the world of food in organic and everything else. I am still waiting for organic water and want to see it fair traded like my chocolate and nature friendly packed so that my fish is not swimming in and digesting and passing on micro plastics. I have stopped eating my beloved fish from the sea because micro plastics in everything that exits the sea reason. Worried about my own SUSTAINABILITY I have stopped eating fish. The image of endlessly broken down but not deteriorated plastics and former clothing items absorbed by all creatures of the sea and landing on our plates is even stronger than littered islands in the middle of the pacific removed from civilization. I'm worried about my own biodegradability and don't anna end up like the immortal flesh of Lenin and Mao who both a bathed in secret chemical formulas to rest on display to remind people of how to think forever.
I see in the term SUSTAINABILITY a fig leave for all the ugly phenomena that are at the heart of our global problems, our global conflicts and rat races.
But what should we SUSTAIN?
over-consumption ? over-production ? over-waste ? over-toxicity ? low quality production? Or just high quality for the well off ? Should we sustain advertisement for SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS ? Should we - when it comes to fashion - hold out with new products for a year - an just sell what hasn't been sold?. Many fast fashion houses have their warehouses full of non-sold fashion they could easily offer again without anybody to go naked for a season or two. Should we put garments that haven't sold the first round around as sustainable as they help us to protect the planet, the sea as tech wares are already in the shops.... OR DID somebody just trash them, or recycle them... or what ?
I M ALL FOR SUSTAINABILITY - I MAKES ME FEEL GOOD.. but price matters. brands matter.

Don't forget to reread Friedrich Engel’s “The condition of the working class in england” were terribly awful living and working conditions came with the disappearance of the workers woolen clothing in favor of cotton.The protective, climate appropriate and temperature adjusting local wool was replaced with heavy impractical cotton in rainy England and wool disappeared from the hands and bodies of the working poor. Wood became sustainable only for the rich and well off.
I note tha the industrial system has been very sustainable so far thought it was outsourced.
