ARAB DIALOGS: 2003

Arab Dialogs were done in the Summer of 2003 in the ceramic factories of Sassuolo - the center of Europe's tile production industry in norther Italy, near Modena. Most of the seasonal workers are Arabs - Therefore I decided to not concentrate anymore on iraqis but on migrant laborors of these Gastarbeiter- community - in fact, a rather exploided labor force since they are badly housed, discriminated in an open racist way (good housing is reserved for non-Arabs etc. ) see a more detailed study on these conditions here:

only the pieces on the floor are ARAB DIALOG (texts by non-Iraqis)- the works leanikng on the walls are IRAQ DIALOGS (texts by Iraqis)
